Eight Web and how to avoid mistakes Disorder: Too much noise, too much text, and very little white space mean that customers ignore the content. Customers often scan pages quickly, only reading titles or input of information until they reach the content they want. Be concise, break the lines of text, not too many fonts and consider the level of reading, browsing audience.Confusing: the buttons and menu items should be obvious, should be similar to the links around. Text should not have buttons or links. Customers usually do not read and digest the information in linear order and must be able to move between sections easily.Company-centricism: Customers are task-oriented. I do not know (or care) about departmental structures, or business jargon. Look at your website as an alien who, by function or task. Use clear, generic labeling and try to minimize the use of jargon in the industry, or company, the acronym or abbreviation unless the context provided.Design Commission: Although teamwork is essential to the success a website, which requires the consent of the group for decision-making will stop a project in its tracks.Bells and whistles: How a site is not as important as the content and organization of that content.
